Girvan Harbour

Girvan is a medium size seaside town with a population of approximately 9,000. The town is located in the south west corner of Ayrshire an area renowned for its unspoilt scenery and particularly mild climate. Girvan offers a range of services including: a town centre with a variety of shops, banking facilities, post office; nursery, primary and secondary schooling; cottage hospital; swimming pool; several hotels and restaurants; working harbour; 18 hole golf course. A railway station provides connections north to Ayr and Glasgow and south to Stranraer. The National Trust for Scotland's Culzean Castle is approx. 9 miles north. Girvan is on the A77, approx. 22 miles south of Ayr. Prestwick Aiport is approx. 24 miles distant.
