Galloway & Ayrshire Properties was launched in 2005 bringing together the Estate Agency arms of Smith & Valentine solicitors in Girvan Ayrshire and McCormick & Nicholson solicitors in Newton Stewart in Galloway.
The two firms had for many years a significant and influential profile in the Estate agency world in the Southwest of Scotland.
The launch of the combined estate agencies under one common name served at the same to reflect the integration of the estate agencies and to clearly describe the broad geographic spread of the area covered by their services.
The success of Galloway and Ayrshire Properties and its further expansion in 2006 with the opening of an office in Stranraer dictated the need for a further reorganisation and so with effect from 31st July 2006 Galloway and Ayrshire Properties became the trading name of Galloway and Ayrshire Properties Ltd and Galloway and Ayrshire Properties (Stranraer) Limited.
